Alliance Française Palmerston North is proud to introduce the 2025 Edition of the Francophone Film Festival in celebration of
French Language and Francophonie Week in New Zealand.
The famous French drama comedy, Jean de Florette, will be screened on Saturday 1 March at The Globe Theatre, 312 Main St,
Palmerston North.
The movie is an adaptation of Marcel Pagnol's novel, L'eau des Collines (The Water of the Hills), the screening of this film
is a NZ PREMIERE.
A greedy landowner and his nephew conspire to block the only water source of a property in order to bankrupt the owner.
Tickets for the opening night can be purchased from the Globe Theatre.
General admission $35, AF members $25. Ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine from Beach House Wines, canapés and petit fours from
Café Brie, and live music entertainment.
Drinks reception from 6 pm. The movie starts at 7 pm.
Screening in French with English subtitles.
