French Film Festival 2020

Get ready for this new edition full of French surprises and cinematographic discoveries!

We are delighted to announce that the New Zealand French Film Festival will return to the country in March 2020 and will be in Palmerston North from Thursday 12 to Sunday 29 March 2020. 

Over the years, the French Film Festival has firmly established itself as the largest French language event on New Zealand’s national cultural calendar. Running as a nationwide event, it is followed by more than 35,000 people every year and is one of the largest French film festivals outside France.

Entirely redesigned last year by its director, Mr. Iain Macleod, the Festival returns, bigger and stronger than ever before: 3 additional cities (Wanaka, Kerikeri and Matakana) and 5 more venues will be part of the Festival this year. New sponsors also joined us in 2020 for this unique celebration of French cinema.
